The integrated township is a collection of dwellings and commercial businesses with supporting infrastructure such as schools, roads, hospitals, convenience stores, drainage, and sewage systems. There are various Integrated Township Policies of different states which are provided to guide the development of these townships. The objective of the Integrated Township policies is to promote economic development and to facilitate the creation of efficient, equitable and sustainable new urban settlements. The objective of this paper is to highlight the spatial planning initiative taken in relation to the Integrated Townships in India.
